MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) – Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the Russian Federation, Belarus and Moldova Ihtiyar Aslanov on 7 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.
“During the meeting, the parties discussed various aspects of cooperation between Belarus and the ICRC, including work on the Draft Plan of Joint Events of the ICRC and Organizations of the Republic of Belarus for 2021, as well as the ICRC's efforts to counter the spread of the COVID-19 in Belarus,” the ministry informed.
The ICRC is an international humanitarian organization that provides protection and assistance to victims of armed conflicts. The ICRC is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It was founded in Switzerland in 1863.
