Golovchenko arrives in Kazakhstan for Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting

 

MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko is on a working visit to Almaty, Kazakhstan, on 30-31 January to attend a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, BelTA has learned.
In Almaty, the Belarusian head of government will meet with First Vice-President of Iran Mohammad Reza Aref and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan - Chief of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev.

In addition, Roman Golovchenko will take part in the 7th international digital forum “Digital Almaty 2025: Industrial AI: Technologies for a New Era” and visit an exhibition of digital projects. The forum will highlight breakthrough changes in AI and the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of the global industry. The forum will bring together government officials, leading experts and entrepreneurs who will discuss digital development prospects and the digital agenda of the EAEU countries.

The prime minister of Belarus will also take part in narrow-format and expanded-format meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. According to the press service of the EEC, the participants of the meetings are to review the macroeconomic situation in the Eurasian Economic Union member states and to discuss proposals to maintain sustainable economic development. Another issue on the agenda is the signing of an agreement on cross-border access to the placement and circulation of securities at organized trading in the EAEU countries. The participants of the meetings will also take stock of the efforts by the EAEU member states to develop railway, road and port infrastructure included in the Eurasian transport corridors (routes).
