MUSCAT, 15 December (BelTA) – Oman has signaled readiness to build long-term relations with Belarus, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov told journalists during the working visit of the Belarusian president to Oman, BelTA has learned.
“In fact, we can feel the readiness of our Omani counterparts to build long-term relations (the president asked them about it, and they answered). We see mutual respect and a truly genuine interest in these relations. We view Oman as a state that has been a trade hub throughout its thousand-year history, a country that has maintained relations with the entire region, including all of East Africa, nearby Yemen, as well as India. Therefore, today we count on Oman's interest in boosting bilateral trade and economic relations, and, most importantly, we would like to use Oman's capacities in order to sell our products further in other markets. Everything is in place for this now. Today, the leaders of our countries spoke in exactly this vein,” the foreign minister said.
