MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Russia-related topics were present in Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s talks during his visit to the DPRK as well as in his meeting with the U.S. delegation in Minsk, Natalya Eismont, Press Secretary of the Belarusian president, told TASS, BelTA has learned.
“Both during the trip to the DPRK [the Belarusian president’s official visit on 25-26 March] and in the talks with the United States, issues concerning our brotherly Russia were and will always be present,” Natalya Eismont emphasized.
As BelTA reported, on 25-26 March, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko paid the first official visit to the DPRK in history, during which talks were held between the Belarusian head of state and Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong Un.
Earlier, on 19 March, another round of talks between the Belarusian president and a U.S. delegation led by Special Envoy John Coale took place at the Palace of Independence in Minsk.
