MOSCOW, 24 December (BelTA) – The CSTO press service has denied that Tajikistan requested assistance from the organization, BelTA has learned.
The organization’s press service said in a statement: “In connection with the publication of false information in a number of Telegram channels, including the Eurasian Briefing channel, we inform that Tajikistan did not request any assistance from the CSTO in connection with the events of 26 and 30 November 2025.”
The press service added: “The Republic of Tajikistan’s interaction with its CSTO allies on strengthening the border with Afghanistan is based on the Targeted Interstate Program, approved at the 2024 session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Astana.”
