MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) – Members of the sixth-convocation House of Representatives of the National Assembly worked to bolster the sovereignty and secure sustainable development of Belarus. Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko made the statement as he closed the current session of the lower chamber of the Belarusian parliament on 4 December, BelTA has learned.
Summing up results of yet another parliamentary cycle, Vladimir Andreichenko noted that all the efforts of the outgoing MPs had been geared towards protecting the sovereignty, ensuring the sustainable development of the country, social stability, and higher earnings of the citizens. “Everything that makes up the foundation of the policy outlined by the head of state and approved by the nation,” the speaker added.
He described more than 280 laws, which cover all spheres of life of the state and the society, as a visible result of the outgoing parliament's work. “The MPs were focused on ensuring dynamic development of the economy, bolstering its competitive ability, and reducing its vulnerability to external factors,” Vladimir Andreichenko stressed.
These goals were furthered by efforts to improve the legislation in the spheres of investment, budget and taxation, finance, various branches of the real sector of the economy, and the sphere of services.
