Belarus, Zimbabwe sign package of cooperation documents

MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – International documents on advancing cooperation in various spheres have been signed as a result of negotiations between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

The sides signed an agreement on mutual legal assistance on civil and economic cases, a memorandum of understanding between the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Zimbabwean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade on arranging political consultations.

The Belarusian Education Ministry and the Zimbabwean Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science, and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding. The document will guide cooperation in the sphere of vocational training, higher education, science, and technology.

The Belarusian National Technical University and the Zimbabwean Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science, and Technology passed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in science, technological advancement, and innovative programs. Similar memorandums involving the Belarusian State University and the Republican Institute for Vocational Education of Belarus were signed.

The State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus and the Zimbabwean Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science, and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in science, technology, and innovations.

Agriculture represents another avenue of cooperation. The Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding with the Zimbabwean Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate, and Rural Resettlement.
