Belarus, UNDP discuss constructive cooperation at MFA meeting

MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Sekreta met with Ivana Živković, UN Assistant Secretary-General, Assistant Administrator and Director of Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in Minsk on 2 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Igor Sekreta noted the constructive nature of cooperation with the UNDP office in Belarus, assuring the UNDP official of Belarus’ support for the organization’s mandate. He expressed hope for continued fruitful cooperation with the UNDP in line with the country’s national interests.
Ivana Živković, for her part, welcomed Belarus’ progress in implementing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The parties agreed to continue joint efforts to attract international expertise for implementing international technical assistance projects in Belarus.
