Belarus, Spain preparing for intergovernmental economic commission meeting

MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Spain are gearing up for the second meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic and industrial cooperation, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Madrid.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Spain Pavel Pustovoi met with Director General for North America, Eastern Europe, Asia and the Pacific at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain Ana Maria Salomon Perez. The parties discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two states and paid close attention to the forthcoming meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic and industrial cooperation in Madrid.

The parties also talked over the organization of the next Belarusian-Spanish ministerial consultations and considered the implementation of the earlier-made agreements, humanitarian projects and the development of interregional cooperation.

The representative of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs wished Pavel Pustovoi every success in his diplomatic work.
