Belarus-Russia Union State parliament approves international action plan

MOSCOW, 9 December (BelTA) – The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia approved a plan of the assembly’s international activities for the year 2026 at a session held in Moscow on 9 December, BelTA has learned.

The document stipulates priority avenues of interaction with the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. Plans are in place to further advance interparliamentary contacts with the international parliamentary associations that follow principles of multipolarity and respect for the sovereign development of states such as the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, the Pan-African Parliament, the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), and other ones.

The participation of representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in international observation of elections and referendums as part of CIS missions will be an important part of the parliamentary work.

Just like in previous years members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will continue making speeches at various parliamentary platforms in order to openly and persistently defend the common foreign policy interests of Belarus and Russia while promoting a positive agenda at the parliamentary level.
