Belarus-Russia Union State MPs to meet in Polotsk to discuss equal rights of citizens

MOSCOW, 4 March (BelTA) – Polotsk will play host to a meeting of the of the commission on laws and regulations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State on 6 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly.

“The participants of the meeting will examine the model lawmaking in the various integration groups, will discuss the prospects for its use in the Union State. The MPs will consider drafting a concept of approximation of laws in the states parties to the Union State Treaty and discuss other issues related to the equal rights of citizens of Belarus and Russia,” the press service said.

The event will be attended by members of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of the Union State Standing Committee, the Secretariat of the Council of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Secretariat, and the Youth Chamber at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State.

The Union State MPs are set to meet with the Polotsk city authorities and members of the Polotsk District Council of Deputies.
