
MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) - Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov in Moscow on 2 April, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed topical issues of interaction within the BRICS framework and Belarus’ participation in the activities of the association in the status of a partner state which the country received on 1 January 2025. The parties emphasized Belarus' readiness to be actively involved in the BRICS work in three key dimensions of the association: politics and security, economy and finance, culture and humanitarian ties.
The improvement of the international monetary and financial system and the use of mechanisms and resources of the New Development Bank for the implementation of investment projects in the BRICS area were mentioned as one of the priority areas of multilateral cooperation within the BRICS framework.

Sergei Lukashevich also attended a solemn event celebrating the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia at the State Academic Bolshoi Theater.
