Belarus’ MFA, Red Cross committee take stock of joint work in 2025

MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Sekreta met with Rania Machlab, Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for Russia and Belarus, the Belarusian Foreign Affairs Ministry told BelTA.

The parties discussed in detail the humanitarian situation in the world and the region, ICRC initiatives aimed at strengthening and developing international humanitarian law, as well as cooperation between Belarus and the ICRC in these areas. Rania Machlab also briefed the Belarusian side on the work of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Belarus.
The parties reviewed the results of their joint activities over the past year within the framework of the Belarus-ICRC joint action plan. They confirmed the high level of mutual understanding and support in addressing humanitarian challenges, and expressed their shared readiness to continue constructive cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties signed the 2026 joint action plan for Belarusian state and other organizations and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
