Belarus, China coordinate approaches to defending national interests in international arena

MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong on 16 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“During the meeting the deputy minister and the head of the diplomatic mission coordinated their approaches to cooperation between Belarus and China in the United Nations and other international organizations in order to avoid politicization of the mandates of these structures and uphold national interests in the international arena,” the Belarusian ministry of foreign affairs said.

The parties reaffirmed their willingness to maintain close cooperation on topical issues on the international agenda through the foreign ministries of the two countries.

Belarus and China established diplomatic relations in 1992. The year 2022 will mark the 30th anniversary of Belarusian-Chinese diplomatic relations.
