Belarus attends online meeting of CIS Security Council Secretaries

MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council Vladimir Archakov represented Belarus at a video conference of the CIS Security Council Secretaries on 18 November, BelTA learned from the State Secretariat of the Security Council.

“The participants of the meeting made presentations on the aspects of preparedness to counter new biological threats in the context of the fight against coronavirus pandemic, considered issues related to international information security, discussed current challenges and threats to the joint interests of the participating states,” the Security Council said.

“The participants also exchanged experience in studying the forms and methods of destructive influence applied by foreign countries in the CIS space. The participants of the meeting took into consideration the information on external interference in the internal affairs of the Republic of Belarus, inadmissibility of foreign destructive influence on the internal political situation and the necessity of further joint actions to prevent it,” stressed the State Secretariat of the Security Council.

The heads of staff of the Security Councils agreed that the evaluation of the effectiveness of the communication would increase the level of protection of citizens as a prerequisite for sustainable development of the CIS states.
