Belarus, Armenia discuss economic cooperation, contacts in tourism

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Boleslav Pirshtuk and Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan have met to talk over trade and economic cooperation and the development of contacts in education, tourism and healthcare, the press service of the House of Representatives told BelTA following the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Yerevan.

During the talks Boleslav Pirshtuk emphasized the importance of promoting economic ties, setting up joint companies and increasing mutual trade.

The vice speaker also met with President of the National Assembly of Armenia Ara Babloyan. “The parties praised the level of inter-parliamentary cooperation and exchanged opinions on the activity in the international parliamentary organizations,” the press service said.

The Belarusian delegation led by the vice speaker of the House of Representatives took part in the 10th meeting of the commission on cooperation between the National Assembly of Belarus and the National Assembly of Armenia.
