A renovated square on Darwin Street reopened in Grodno on 4 September to mark the city's 897th anniversary. This beloved spot for locals and guests of the city on the Neman River has been transformed dramatically. Benches and swings have been installed, and a children's playground has been equipped. The new centerpiece of the square is a bronze statue titled The Meeting. Two married couples took part in the historic moment of the square's and sculpture's opening, imbuing the monument, which symbolizes the warmth and joy of meeting a loved one, with their own energy and love.
