On 18 September, a ceremonial handover of new cargo trucks to border guards took place on the grounds of the Brest Hero Fortress memorial complex. The vehicles will be sent to territorial bodies of the border service, specifically to those units performing border protection duties. The prototype for these trucks is GAZ-66. It now features a front-mounted engine hood, which provides enhanced protection for the driver and crew. The new truck boasts high off-road capability and is equipped with a reliable diesel engine manufactured in Russia.
