Chaired by Igor Sergeyenko, an expanded on-site meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus took place at the University of Civil Protection of the Emergencies Ministry on 27 August. The meeting aims to discuss the improvement of the legal regulation of the operations of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry (in preparation for the consideration of the draft law “On amending laws on the work of emergency response agencies and units” by the House of Representatives). The parliamentarians were briefed on the capabilities of the Emergencies Ministry at the University of Civil Protection. The meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives discussed matters of the development of the emergency response system in modern conditions, the improvement of the legal regulation of the operations of the Emergencies Ministry, and the development of the national school for training rescuers and firefighters.
