A launch event for the first long-haul flight by Belavia Airline was held in Minsk on 8 September. On 8 October, the Belarusian air carrier will launch the flight from Minsk to the Chinese island of Hainan, to the city of Sanya using a new Airbus A330-200 airliner. Initially, there will be one flight per week on Wednesdays. The flight frequency will increase to twice a week in the winter schedule.
