Lukashenko plants trees in his hometown of Alexandria on subbotnik day

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko traditionally took part in the nationwide subbotnik [a voluntary labor day]. This year it was held on 17 April.

The head of state went to his hometown of Alexandria, Shklov District, for subbotnik. On Saturday, Aleksandr Lukashenko's team landscaped the site that hosts the festival “Alexandria Gathers Friends”, a popular event that is held every year in the midsummer on the Kupala night.
