The Guitar Renaissance festival was held in Gomel on 11 September ahead of the 883rd anniversary of the city. The festival venue was set up on the embankment of the Sozh River where a combined guitar orchestra gathered to set a musical record. Over 500 guitarists performed City Flowers in anticipation of the City Day celebrations. The special guest was Vyacheslav Malezhik, a legendary pop singer, composer, poet, and multi-instrumentalis, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation.
