On the initiative of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus, and veteran organizations, a memorial chapel has been erected in Krupki District as part of the charitable program "Silent Echo of War". The chapel stands on the site of a battle where, in 1944, Vasily Chebotarev, an operational officer of the special Smersh unit, was killed. A symbolic Memory Alley of coniferous trees was planted during the event.
