During Parental Love Week, the Palace of Independence hosted an art exhibition by talented young artists with disabilities from Soligorsk. Titled New Horizons, the exhibition is a joint project of the Soligorsk Children’s Art School and the Soligorsk District Department of Social Rehabilitation for the Disabled.

The event commenced with a special gift presentation to the head of state: guests donated a painting titled Road to the Temple, which will now reside in the Palace’s collection alongside gifts from dignitaries and world leaders. The artwork depicts the Church of the Intercession in the village of Chizhevichi, which marks its 230th anniversary this year.

In a reciprocal gesture, the young people received gifts on behalf of Aleksandr Lukashenko – gift certificates for an interactive whiteboard and a music station. The guests were also treated to a surprise performance by a Batleika theater, presented for the first time by a team from the St. Methodius and Cyril Christian Educational Center.

The tour introduced the Soligorsk visitors to the Palace of Independence as the center of the nation’s political life, showcasing its halls and the renowned Museum of Gifts.
