WWI reenactment in Smorgon
The reenactment of the World War One battles took place at the historical site Zolotaya Gorka in Smorgon on 26 October. During the war the German artillery was positioned in Zolotaya Gorka. An underground passage was made to lay explosives there. Huge craters survived to the present day.
The events to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War were held with the support of the Smorgon District Executive Committee.
