Ways to increase Belarus-Nigeria trade discussed

MOSCOW, 7 July (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko met with the reappointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nigeria to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Abdullahi Shehu Yibaikwal in Moscow on 6 July. The sides exchanged opinions about opportunities for increasing mutual trade, the press service of the Belarusian embassy told BelTA.

The sides discussed the development of Belarusian-Nigerian relations across the board. Mutual interest was confirmed in stepping up the political dialogue and contacts between the ministries of foreign affairs of Belarus and Nigeria. Opinions were exchanged about opportunities for increasing the mutual trade, cooperation in education, agriculture, and manufacturing.

Vladimir Semashko invited Abdullahi Shehu Yibaikwal to visit Belarus to get a closer look at the country's potential in the spheres of interest for Nigeria. The sides agreed to interact for the sake of advancing cooperation.
