Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park outlines main priorities for 2026

MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – Dmitry Kalechits, First Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park, outlined the park’s main areas of work for this year in BelTA’s project The Nation Speaks.

The first priority, he said, is increasing the number of resident companies. “Since the beginning of the year, we have received around 60 applications for admission. We already have more than 1,000 companies, and new applications represent potential for expanding exports,” he noted.
The second priority is the development of the startup ecosystem. “This is the future: the potential of new companies that will be created by young people. From the outset, we teach them to be competitive on the international market. We are preparing and will continue to prepare financing for them, including venture funding from international investors, so they can build the knowledge and capabilities needed to compete globally. This is very important: we are a small open economy, and this direction must produce the corresponding effect,” Dmitry Kalechits emphasized.
The third focus area is export diversification. “Our residents currently export to more than 150 countries. There are traditional markets: Western countries, the EAEU, and primarily the Russian Federation. But the geography is expanding: political visits by our country’s leadership are actively opening markets in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Recognition of our companies in these regions is growing, and with it the potential and opportunities for promoting our products, approaches and technologies,” Dmitry Kalechits summarized.
