MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – Russia’s North Ossetia is interested in the development of industrial cooperation with the Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ, BelTA learned from the BelAZ press service.
A delegation from the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, led by the head of the republic Sergei Menyailo visited BelAZ. During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed commitment to developing fruitful relations and discussed promising areas and options for cooperation between BelAZ and enterprises of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
“There is interest both on our part and on the part of our Belarusian colleagues. The most important thing now is to turn it into a practical, step-by-step approach in all areas, including machine building,” Sergei Menyailo said.
The guests were traditionally welcomed with bread and salt, and were briefed about BelAZ’s glorious history and the present-day operations.
The head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania gave the company a memorable gift which took its place of honor in the BelAZ museum.
Vasily Shostak, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Export Policy - Director of BelAZ Marketing Center, introduced the Russian delegation to commercially produced quarry machinery and innovative developments of the company. The head of North Ossetia was especially impressed by the scale and technological sophistication of BelAZ rock haulers.
