MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) - Through the implementation of the priorities of the country's social and economic development program for 2021-2025, the country will achieve the UN global sustainable development goals, Belarus' Deputy Economy Minister Tatiana Brantsevich said as she presented the priorities and the most important areas of the document at a meeting of the Council for Sustainable Development on 10 September, BelTA learned from the ministry.

“The Happy Family priority implies strengthening traditional family values. These are UN Sustainable Development Goal 1 - poverty eradication, Goal 3 - good health and well-being, and Goal 5 - gender equality. Strong regions are an emphasis on comfortable and safe living and working conditions in every corner of the country, which means the achievement of Goal 2 (ending hunger), Goal 10 (reducing inequality) and Goal 11 (sustainable cities and towns). An intelligent country provides education and training, science development, and support for invention and innovation. These are the achievement of Goal 4 (quality education), Goal 8 (decent work and economic growth) and Goal 9 (industrialization, innovation and infrastructure). The partner state leads to strengthening of dialogue and mutual trust between the state, society, individual, business, which is respectively, Goal 16 - peace, justice and effective institutions, and Goal 17 - partnership for sustainable development,” the deputy minister explained.

According to Tatiana Brantsevich, achieving the priorities of the 2021-2025 Program will create the necessary conditions for Belarus to implement the global Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
