MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – Belarusian furniture will be presented during the international furniture expo IMM Cologne in Germany using one brand, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom.
The expo is scheduled to take place in Cologne, Germany on 14-20 January 2019. Bellesbumprom together with the Association of Enterprises of Furniture and Woodworking Industry of Belarus with assistance of the exhibition organizing company BelInterExpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is making preparations for the expo.
For the first time Belarusian furniture will be showcased using a unified national stand. A number of Belarusian companies took part in the expo on their own in the past but different styles of their stands and their locations in different pavilions failed to produce the desired effect. As part of the new approach Belarusian furniture will be showcased as part of a stylized Belarusian home with its own sitting room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and relaxation rooms.
A Belarusian-German conference will be held as part of the expo. A presentation of Belarusian furniture makers and their capabilities for cooperation with German customers and partners will be arranged during the conference. Representatives of a number of German retail chains and major companies are expected to participate. Negotiations with representatives of French companies, who have also expressed interest in cooperation with Belarusian companies, will also take place.
Every year IMM Cologne shows off products from all over the world on an area of 280,000m2. In 2018 the expo set some records: it attracted about 125,000 visitors and over 1,300 companies from 50 countries.
