MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) - Belarus can be interesting for partners from foreign countries as a gateway to the capacious market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich said at the international conference “Belarus’ capacity building for the Sustainable Development Goals: Strategies and partnerships in the context of modern challenges and climate agenda” in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 6 June, BelTA has learned.
"Belarus has invested great efforts and resources in the development of regional economic integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. This is the most important factor in our economic resilience," he said.
Yuri Ambrazevich noted: "Our esteemed partners from the non-CIS countries could consider Belarus as a gateway to the capacious and dynamically developing market of the EAEU with a population of 186 million."
He noted that the common market of the Eurasian Economic Union ensures the free movement of goods, services, capital and workforce. It has uniform technical regulation rules and sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary standards. Goods cleared by Belarus will not be subject to customs clearance in other EAEU countries.
