Manufacturing cooperation between Belarus, Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan discussed

MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik met with Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko at a session of the joint working group on cooperation in the Russian city of Nizhnekamsk. Participants of the session discussed manufacturing cooperation, prospects of interaction between enterprises of Belarus and Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.

During the session Belarus’ manufacturing sector was represented by Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik and heads of the largest holding companies run by the Industry Ministry.

Belarus and Tatarstan are connected by many manufacturing cooperation projects. A project to set up a joint multibrand dealership for selling and aftersales service of Belarusian products such as automobiles, agricultural machines, tractor parts and components, engines is being implemented at premises of OOO TPK MTZ-Tatarstan. Products made by Gomselmash, Bobruiskagromash, Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ), BATE, and Lidselmash are showcased and are available for purchase at a permanently open exhibition.

The realization of the agreement on cooperation between OAO MTZ and AO RariTEK Holding in assembling tractors powered by gas engine fuel continues. An agreement on long-term cooperation between the Belarusian Industry Ministry and PAO KamAZ is being implemented. The agreement provides for expanding the mass production and deliveries of the products the Russian company needs from enterprises run by the Industry Ministry. A program on long-term cooperation between PAO KamAZ and enterprises of the holding company Automotive Components has been reconciled and is being implemented.

In the sphere of automobile production the Belarusian company OAO MAZ, the managing company of the holding company BelavtoMAZ, and the Russian company PAO KamAZ implement a program aimed at mastering the production and applying unified localized components for assembling automobiles. Work is in progress to unify the use of transmission gear in MAZ and KamAZ vehicles.

The parties are interested in further expansion of cooperation and are ready to expand the choice of shipped products and use the entire potential of manufacturing cooperation.

Apart from that, Piotr Parkhomchik visited a number of locations in the region: the MTZ expo center with an aftersales service area at premises of OOO TPK MTZ-Tatarstan, AO PO YelAZ, OOO Aurus, AO Taneko, and PAO KamAZ.
