International economic forum in Vitebsk canceled

VITEBSK, 17 April (BelTA) - The international economic forum “Innovations. Investments. Prospects” due in Vitebsk on 14-15 May has been canceled, BelTA learned from the official website of the forum.

In the letter to potential participants of the region's main business event, the organizing committee has apologized for any inconvenience and counts on the understanding.

The international economic forum “Innovations. Investments. Prospects” is a traditional platform to present the economic potential of Vitebsk Oblast.  In 2020, the event was to have been held for the ninth time. The use of digital technologies, the development of infrastructure and legal environment for the digital economy was chosen as the main theme of the forum.

About 500 foreign guests from 22 countries participated in the 8th international economic forum in 2019. Seventeen agreements on international cooperation were signed.

Organizers of the forum are the Vitebsk regional and city administrations, the Vitebsk Regional Marketing Center, the FEZ Vitebsk administration, the Vitebsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Vitebsk Regional Employers' Union.
