MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov introduced Taras Murog as the new Director General to the team of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) on 24 November, BelTA learned from the ministry.
As BelTA previously reported, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko approved the appointment of Taras Murog as MTZ Director General. Until now, he held the position of Belkommunmash Director General.
The minister gave a positive assessment of Taras Murog's work: “He is not a new face for Minsk Tractor Works. His professional path was largely forged right here at MTZ. Taras Murog proved himself well at BKM Holding as Director General. Under his leadership, production volumes nearly tripled, and new product lines were introduced. I hope for similar results at MTZ.”
The key areas requiring the greatest focus are product quality and sales. “We must pay attention to quality. As for sales, we need to reformat our sales on the Russian market and reassess our joint ventures abroad, in CIS countries and beyond,” said Andrei Kuznetsov.
The industry minister expressed his wish for the new director general to have a harmonious team: “One man is no warrior. This team is like family to you. I hope that under Taras Murog's leadership, we will achieve the goals set for us by the country. And that we will ambitiously set our own tasks, solve them, and take pride in the results.”
“Don’t get bogged down in the process, we need results,” the new director general said to MTZ’s management. “There is a succinct phrase: ‘We have no time for slow dances’. Colleagues, we truly have little time, so I ask everyone to regroup. The 80th anniversary of MTZ’s founding is ahead, and we must approach this date with substantial achievements, so we can celebrate the anniversary with smiles on our faces. Minsk Tractor Works has everything it needs to worthily continue the work of its founding fathers, who in their time elevated the plant to imaginable and unimaginable heights,” Taras Murog emphasized.
Andrei Kuznetsov also thanked Sergei Avramenko for his work as MTZ Director General. The previous head expressed his gratitude to his colleagues for their joint work and wished Minsk Tractor Works success and prosperity.
