Enterprises of Belarus, Turkmenistan strengthen direct contacts

MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation visited Turkmenistan on 14-20 March. In the context of the strengthening of bilateral relations, the major goal of the mission was to practically implement trade potential and enhance direct contacts between enterprises of the two countries, the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) told BelTA.

The central event of the Belarusian business program was preparation for entering the Turkmen market. During a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Stanislav Chepurny, members of the delegation carefully examined key issues for effective work in the region: legal aspects, logistics chains, and settlement procedures.

The delegation also familiarized itself with the facilities of the Ashgabat Textile Complex and visited enterprises of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. Direct dialogue continued at the Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in a B2B format, where the parties discussed conditions for direct supplies and cooperation.

As part of the visit, the Belarusian delegation participated in the IFT 2026 exhibition to mark the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

The negotiations resulted in agreements covering a wide range of areas: supplies of Belarusian sausage products and alcoholic beverages to the Turkmen market were approved; issues related to the purchase of Turkmen fruits and vegetables were discussed; and substantial talks were held on integrating Belarusian software into the IT systems of several Turkmen banks.

The visit made it possible not only to strengthen ties with existing partners but also to establish new contacts that will form the basis for further systematic cooperation, the Minsk Office of the BelCCI noted.
