Belorusneft to build 450-500 EV charging stations in Belarus in 2026

MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) - The Belorusneft production association plans to build 450-500 charging stations for electric vehicles in Belarus in 2026, Valery Atroshchenko, Head of the Department for Hydrocarbon Raw Material Supply and Product Sales at Belorusneft, told a press conference titled Roadside Service in Belarus: Promising Areas of Development at BelTA’s press center on 19 March, BelTA has learned.

As of 1 January 2026, Belorusneft’s charging network Malanka comprised 975 facilities. Over 400 more charging stations belong to other legal entities. These include both slow, fast and ultra-fast charging stations.

“Plans for 2026 include building about 450-500 EV charging stations,” Valery Atroshchenko said adding that over 300 of them will be fast and ultra-fast.

Such facilities will be installed in the capital, regional cities, and rural districts, and will be distributed evenly across Belarus.

Since last year, the company has begun manufacturing charging stations independently: they are produced by Belorusneft Promservice. The product range includes chargers from 7 to 350 kW. Since electric vehicles from many different countries are present on the Belarusian market, ensuring compatibility with various charging standards is essential.

Building a system-forming basic charging network requires constant alignment with user needs and rapid adaptation to market changes. The sharp increase over the past two years in EV imports from China prompted us to retrofit the vast majority of charging stations with connectors of the Chinese GB/T standard. Today, most locations support the main connector types: CCS, CHAdeMO, and GB/T.
