MINSK, 25 April (BelTA) – Belarusian scientists have designed three models of electric vehicles, BelTA learned from Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov on 25 April.
The official said: “We've developed a small truck, an electric car based on a Geely model, and a minivan, which has met a strong interest. We are testing them now. We will manufacture an entire lineup of these electric vehicles by the end of the year. Some may be available for sale. We are going to reveal them before our institutes so that they could test them thoroughly. The components are made by our industrial enterprises, so we have components of our own already. We also intend to switch a municipal vehicle to electricity. We are working on it with BelAZ and MAZ.”
