MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – Flagships of Belarus’ petrochemical industry are represented as part of the joint stand of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim at the international yarn and fiber expo Yarn Fair, which is taking place in Istanbul, Türkiye on 26-28 March, representatives of the BelInterExpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry told BelTA.
The Istanbul Yarn Fair brought together more than 500 companies and over 16,000 industry professionals and representatives of manufacturers, who presented a wide range of yarns and raw materials for textiles as well as technical projects and solutions, including eco-friendly threads made from organic cotton and recycled materials. Representatives from about 80 countries are participating in the fair. Companies from China, Italy, Belgium, Egypt, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan are well-represented at the expo.
The Belarusian participants of the Yarn Fair include OAO Naftan, a major producer of petroleum products and petrochemicals, which presented a wide range of products, including high-density polyethylene, acrylonitrile, and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers from the Polymir plant.
One of the CIS’ leading manufacturers of glass fiber and glass fiber-based products, OAO Polotsk-Steklovolokno, presented high-temperature silica materials with an operating temperature of up to 12,000 degrees (fabrics, yarns, fibers, fire-resistant fabric), construction materials (plastering glass mesh, windproof membranes), structural glass fabrics, and quick-release thermal insulation (thermal jacket).
The Belarusian exposition includes the chemical fiber plant branch of OAO Grodno Azot — a major manufacturer of polyamide and polyester yarns and fibers as well as virgin polyamide 6 (PA 6) and PA 6-based composite materials, including lightweight and thermally stabilized nylon yarn, including dyed yarn.
The company’s every main product type is available in multiple varieties with different physical and mechanical properties and quality parameters depending on the area of application.
As part of the Yarn Fair business meetings and B2B sessions have been organized for Belarusian exhibitors with the participation of Anatoly Glaz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Türkiye, and Yevgenia Bortkevich, Consul General in Istanbul, with representatives of regional industry companies and foreign partners.
The BelInterExpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the operator of the exposition of the Belarusian manufacturers.
