MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – Building on its accomplishments, the Belarusian mechanical engineering company MAZ aims to support the national social and economic development program which is to be adopted at the upcoming session of the Belarusian People’s Congress, a delegate to the Belarusian People’s Congress, Director General of MAZ, the managing company of the BelavtoMAZ holding company Valery Ivankovich told journalists, BelTA has learned.
Valery Ivankovich spoke about the implementation of a large-scale investment project at the enterprise to build a bus manufacturing plant, which resulted in the optimization of the passenger vehicle assembly process, with exports exceeding $1.5 billion. What is more important, the company has gained a foothold in new markets across Latin America and Africa, with a strong demand for Belarusian machinery.
The MAZ director general emphasized that the second meeting of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress will determine new development vectors in all areas. Commenting on the development prospects of the enterprise, Valery Ivankovich noted that the plans include the modernization of technological production facilities through automation and robotization, improvement of the plant workers’ welfare, enhancement of working conditions, and the implementation of a rental housing program.
