Belarusbank's support of SMEs totals Br13bn over six-year period

MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) – In the past six years Belarusbank has allocated Br13 billion to support initiatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), BelTA learned from the bank's communications and advertising department.

Since the start of the SMEs promotion program, August 2015, the bank has financed some 7,000 business initiatives to the amount of Br13 billion. "The bank always takes an active position and supports events aimed at developing small and medium businesses in the country. We offer our clients a wide range of transactional products for any business, ensuring prompt settlements and payments,” said Director of Belarusbank's Corporate Business Department Sergei Pas.

As of today, the bank has over 90,000 clients, 75% of which are small and medium-sized enterprises.

To maintain the possibility of providing credit support to SMEs at affordable interest rates, the bank works to ensure the application of various tools and attraction of resources to finance business projects. “The bank has an individual approach to each client, including the service of credit debts. In addition to traditional banking services we offer services such as leasing, consulting services, and brokerage services. We have also been working to improve financial literacy and support for business initiatives,” Belarusbank said.
