MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) - Belarus has increased its exchange trade volumes with all partners in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE).
According to BUCE, the total value of exchange transactions made in January–February 2026 by companies from Belarus’ partner countries in the Eurasian Economic Union amounted to $194.2 million, which is 11% higher than in the same period of 2025. Positive growth in exchange trade was observed with all EAEU states.
The highest growth rate compared to January–February of the previous year was achieved in trade with Kyrgyzstan. Thanks to active purchases of Belarusian meat and dairy products and lumber, as well as shipments to Belarus of raw materials for the textile industry, Kyrgyz market participants increased the value of their exchange transactions nearly ninefold.
Trade with Kazakhstan grew 3.5 times, largely due to imports of Belarusian sugar, which accounted for 36% of the total exchange trade in value terms.
In trade with Armenia, the main drivers of growth were, on the one hand, shipments of dry milk to the Armenian market, and on the other, the sale of large lots of ferroalloys to enterprises in Belarus’ industrial sector. As a result, Belarusian-Armenian exchange trade increased 2.2 times year-on-year.
The total value of transactions by Russian participants in the first two months of 2026 grew by 2%. In the structure of mutual trade, Belarusian exports dominated, accounting for 86% of the total. The most popular products among Russian buyers were dairy products, meat and meat products, woodworking products, and flax fiber.
Currently, 5,374 residents of EAEU countries (Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia) are accredited at BUCE. Of these, 142 became exchange clients in the current year.
Founded in 2004, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange conducted its first trading session in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest commodity exchanges in Eastern Europe. Its main function is to assist Belarusian enterprises with export and foreign companies with entering the Belarusian market. BUCE sells a wide range of metal, forestry and agricultural products, industrial and consumer goods.
