Belarus finalizes business support program for 2026-2030

MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) - The Economy Ministry is finalizing a state business support program for 2026-2030, Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar told the media in Minsk on 17 November, BelTA has learned.

“I can announce that we have almost wrapped up the work on the business support program for the next five-year period (2026-2030). I should note that we, together with our colleagues in the regions and key support institutions, have approached this task very meticulously,” Yuri Chebotar said. The program is titled Sustainable Entrepreneurship. It consists of two main components: stimulating the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and creating a comfortable business climate. The program includes measures to develop business support institutions, create specialized information services, and implement new SME support tools.

Funding for business support will be increased. “The amount of funds set aside in the national budget will be twice as large as in the current five-year plan,” the minister stated. More support will be also earmarked from the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs and local budgets.

“I believe this set of tools will significantly help us in increasing the share of small and medium-sized business,” the minister added.
