Belarus' construction sector urged to ramp up marketing efforts

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – Enterprises and organizations of the construction industry of Belarus should promote their products and services more actively, Belarusian Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich said at a meeting of the collegium of the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.

Ruslan Parkhamovich spoke about the performance of enterprises of the industry in general and their achievements on the domestic market and in exporting goods and services. The minister also pointed to flaws in the work of some construction organizations and instructed to eliminate them as soon as possible. “In Q1 2021, the Belarusian construction industry achieved good results and generated profit, with profitability rising to 9.1%, which was higher than in the same period of last year,” Ruslan Parkhamovich stressed. “Of course, we see growth prospects. Enterprises and organizations of the construction industry should step up work to promote their products and services and search for new avenues of work in order to perform better in H1,” he added.

Director General of the Belstroitsentr construction company Vyacheslav Turov and Director General of Belarusian Cement Company Aleksandr Dovgalo spoke about the performance of organizations affiliated with their companies. The participants of the meeting also heard out reports of heads of other enterprises and organizations of the construction industry. They focused on measures to reduce the number of unprofitable organizations of the construction industry.

Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Sivak called on heads of construction organizations to ensure operation at full capacity. Thanks to active work in this field, enterprises will be able to pay competitive salaries in time, he believes.
