MOSCOW, 1 October (BelTA) – In January-August 2021 Belarus had the highest industrial output growth among the Eurasian Economic Union member states according to an express survey released by the Statistics Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission, BelTA has learned.
In January-August 2021 industrial output increased by 8.6% in Belarus, 4.5% in Russia, 2.4% in Kazakhstan, 1.0% in Armenia and went down by 7.3% in Kyrgyzstan.
In January-August 2021 the Eurasian Economic Union's total industrial output growth rate reached 104.5% as against January-August 2020. The output of the mining industry rose by 1.7%, processing industry by 5.4%, generation of electricity, steam, and conditioned air by 7.6%, water supply, sewerage, and control over waste collection and distribution by 18.9%.
