MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) - The marketplace of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE) will become a showcase for financial, banking, and insurance services, Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Belarus Roman Golovchenko said in an interview with Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
The exchange plans to launch a financial marketplace. “Financial services are a product like any other in this context. Therefore, the BCSE's concept is to create a display of all financial, banking, securities, and insurance services for the convenience of the client. This will allow them to either invest their funds, for example, by purchasing various securities (stocks, bonds), tokens, or to choose credit and financial services that are of interest to them at the moment,” said Roman Golovchenko.
A survey of banking, insurance, and financial organizations has been conducted. “Over 85% of respondents unequivocally said that they are interested and ready for such a new business model,” the head of the National Bank said.
As BelTA previously reported, the launch of the marketplace is scheduled for 15 December at the address finmarket.by. Access to the platform will be available via the BCSE website or directly through a browser. Work is currently underway with issuers to select securities that are reliable and attractive to investors.
