Borisov BATE defeat Seinajoki in Champions League second qualifying round

MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – FC Borisov BATE defeated FC Seinajoki from Finland 2:0 in a first-leg match of the Champions League second qualifying round. The match was held in Borisov Arena on 12 July, BelTA has learned.

BATE have come through from the second qualifying round to the group stage four times in the last five seasons and goals from Yury Kendysh on 32 minute and Vitaly Rodionov on 68 minute have put them on course again.

Belarus' three more representatives in Europa League will have their matches of the second qualifying round on 14 July: Dinamo Minsk will host Irish St Patrick's, Shakhtyor Soligorsk will host Domzale (Slovenia) and Zhodino Torpedo-BelAZ will go to Hungary for an away match against Debrecen.
