Ways to strengthen Belarus-Germany cooperation discussed in Nesvizh

NESVIZH, 24 June (BelTA) – Nesvizh is hosting a meeting of Belarusian and German twin cities and towns on 24 and 25 June. The meeting is discussing ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, BelTA has learned.

Specifically, the agenda includes items related to the development of the Belarusian-German cooperation in economy, investments, social sector, and education. The meeting will also discuss the contribution of young people to the development of twinning relations, as well as matters of social security and healthcare, historical heritage and culture.

The Belarusian delegation to the meeting is led by Boris Batura, the chairman of the Belarusian organization Twin Towns and member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus. Attending the meeting also are Chairman of the West-East Federal Union of the German Societies Peter Franke, Executive Director of the West-East Meetings Foundation Monika Tharann, and also representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the German Embassy in Belarus, and delegations of German and Belarusian twin cities and towns.
