Special cover, stamp mark anniversary of Belarus-Moldova diplomatic relations

MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – An official first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony for a cover and a stamp was held at the Belarusian Embassy in Moldova to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Belarus-Moldova diplomatic relations. The cover and the stamp were issued by the state-run enterprise Post of Moldova, BelTA has learned.

Attending the ceremony were Belarusian Ambassador to Moldova Sergei Chichuk and Moldovan State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tatiana Molcean.

The state secretary noted at the ceremony that over the 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Moldova and Belarus have been bound together by a deep friendship based on mutual respect of both nations. This friendship, she said, continues through an active political dialogue, mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, and strong cultural and humanitarian ties.

Tatiana Molcean underlined that over the past quarter of a century, the governments of both countries demonstrated a constructive approach and political will in search for mutually acceptable solutions to the whole range of matters on the bilateral and multilateral agenda, which has brought Belarus-Moldova relations to a new level.

Belarus and Moldova established diplomatic relations on 19 November 1992.
