MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – A Minsk Card for guests of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 will be presented in Minsk by December, BelTA learned from Boris Vasilyev, Director of the Mingorspravka enterprise, on 3 September.
Work is already in progress to expand the Minsk Card with places, which may be of interest for athletes and fans. The preliminary list includes about 200 places, including some 60 tourist attractions (museums, galleries, an aqua park, a zoo, and other ones), 28 hotels, and 23 public catering outlets. The new tourist product is supposed to go on sale once tickets for the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 sport events become available.
Boris Vasilyev also said that work is in progress to convert the Minsk Card, which now covers museums, hotels, cafes, and shops in the Belarusian capital city, into a national pass.
The project is being implemented with assistance of the Sports and Tourism Ministry, the Culture Ministry, and the tourism information center Minsk. The project is part of the national program for organizing the Year of Native Land in Belarus in 2018-2020.
London Pass and Berlin Pass offer access to dozens of attractions and places of interest in the capital cities of the UK and Germany. Minsk Card does the same in the Belarusian capital city. Minsk Card became available for purchase on 17 January 2018. At present it can be bought in nine offline outlets located in the Upper Town, Trinity Suburb, Komsomolskaya Street, the railway terminal, the Minsk National Airport, the tourism information center Minsk, the Belarus Hotel, and the President Hotel. Minsk Cards can also be ordered via www.minskpass.by. Visitors and Minsk residents can choose from five formats featuring 16 types of passes.
