National History Museum running two big projects for 2nd European Games in Minsk

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – The National History Museum of Belarus is working on two big projects for the participants of the 2nd European Games, director of the museum Pavel Sapotko told BelTA.

The exposition “Belarus, Our Beloved Land” will display local arts and crafts from the collection of the National History Museum. The exposition is meant, first of all, for the foreign audience. “Simultaneously with this exposition, we will present contemporary works of art, graphics, textiles and ceramics. The both expositions will be located in the same hall. We will demonstrate the traditions and specificity of the Belarusian culture, which is of principal importance for us,” the museum's director said.

Another important project is the Belarusian Cultural Center in the Athletes Village. The center will be divided into three zones. The first one will host an interactive exposition featuring multimedia images of the Krevo Castle and the museum's rarities. The second one will accommodate photo zones and photo cutout boards and host master classes in belt weaving and ceramics. The third zone will accommodate vendors selling souvenirs and books.

“Thus, we will set up a cultural hub in the Athletes Village. The participants of the events will have a very busy schedule. Our goal is to offer them something different in between their training sessions, press conferences, and competitions,” Pavel Sapotko said.
